Gall Liniment

Simmer 2 tablespoons each of plantain leaves
and ground oak galls in 8 tablespoons of solid
vegetable shortening for 30 minutes. Strain,
then cool. Add 112 teaspoons tincture of
benzoin, stirring well. Rub on the affected area.
Oak gall grows on oak trees as a deformity.
